Privacy Notice

Important: This is the platform's current privacy notice and should receive formal legal and data-protection review before public commercial launch.

1. Information we collect

We collect account details such as name, email and password credentials; team and venture information; district, cluster and workspace records; mentor, partner, event and funding activity; uploaded documents; and technical information needed to secure and operate the service.

2. Why we use it

We use information to create accounts, verify email ownership, provide workspaces, match useful support, operate review workflows, process authorised funding activity, prevent abuse, maintain audit records and improve the platform.

3. Public and private information

Private workspace documents, concept notes, messages, mentor records and account email addresses are not public by default. Approved venture pages and information you deliberately publish may be visible to the ecosystem. Backing visibility choices control how confirmed support is displayed, but do not remove YABAS's private operational record.

4. Sharing

We share information only as needed to provide the requested service: with team members you authorise, mentors or partners involved in an accepted relationship, payment providers for an authorised transaction, service providers operating the platform, or authorities where legally required. We do not sell private workspace content.

5. Security and retention

YABAS uses authentication, access controls, private storage, validation and audit records. No online service is risk-free. We retain records for operational, safety, accounting and legal needs, then delete or anonymise them when they are no longer required under the applicable retention rules.

6. Your choices

You can control profile discoverability, backing visibility and the information you publish. You may request correction or deletion through the YABAS Help Centre, subject to records that must be retained for security, legal or payment integrity reasons.

7. Updates and contact

We may update this notice as the platform, providers or applicable requirements change. The accepted terms version and date are recorded for account accountability. Use the YABAS Help Centre or your YABAS operator for privacy questions or requests.
