YABAS Fellowship

Build a venture that proves its value.

Selective, named 16-week Classes. Start with an important problem, test a solution, identify a payer and build a credible venture.

Applying is free. Creating a team workspace does not admit you to a Class or guarantee funding. Teams normally have 2-5 founders; solo founders may apply.

Virtual-first venture fellowship

Build from where you are. Work with your team online, meet weekly remotely and use a participating hub when local support helps.

How workshops, weekly meetings and local workspaces work
Start together
A three-day inception workshop introduces the team charter, customer discovery, workspace tools and first milestones. Local venues, dates and remote participation arrangements are confirmed by the programme team.
Meet online each week
Show what you tried, what you learned and the evidence. Agree the next tasks, owners and dates. Mentoring and progress reviews are online by default; weekly travel is not required.
Use local support when needed
Participating hubs, including campus-based locations, can support connectivity, collaboration and practical work. Access, opening hours, equipment, eligibility and any costs must be agreed with the hub. Access is not restricted to students by default.
Keep the record on YABAS
Record tasks, experiments, documents, mentor feedback and decisions in the workspace. Submit the required Fellowship reports separately. In-person sessions are reserved for practical work and important demonstrations.

Tell the programme team about connectivity, travel or accessibility needs. Agree lightweight or assisted reporting where needed. A hub assignment is not a room booking, free-equipment entitlement or legal business address.

YABAS leads programme delivery. The assigned Group Partner coordinates accountability; mentors provide guidance and institutional coordinators arrange local support. Admission, evidence review, completion and funding controls remain separate decisions.
