Connections and collaboration
Make introductions, respond to invitations and keep private conversations useful.
Start with a clear request
Use Community for shared questions, or use Connections for a private introduction. Explain the purpose and suggest a next step. Team mentoring and hub support requests must come from a team lead.
Respond on your terms
Use Needs your response to find incoming requests. Accept to start the relationship and conversation, or decline if it is not right for you. Senders can withdraw a pending request.
Know what acceptance changes
A team invitation grants team membership. A mentoring request creates a mentoring relationship. A hub support request adds a team to the organization's portfolio. A general connection opens a private conversation without granting access to team files.
Keep context and privacy
Only the participants can read a connection's messages. Closing a conversation prevents further messages there; it does not remove team membership or end an existing mentoring or hub arrangement.
